Security or Sports?
It is important that sports should be alienated from power politics. But, when it comes to National Pride vs Sports, the choice is obvious Nation First!!
FIFA inviting Dr. ZakirNaik at Qatar is to be denounced. ZakirNaik is known sympathizer of terrorism and is known to spread inter-religious hatered. He is a fugitive from India and responsible for Srilanka blasts. Why should he be invited as an official guest in FIFA? He is not known for his contribution to Football.
What are the participants doing?
He has been banned from countries like U.K. What is U.K doing to protest? What are the sponsors of FIFA doing?
FIFA, in any case is not known to be a body disengaged from politics. FIFA boycotted South Africa during apartheid. This year they Boycotted Russia.
Presence of Indian Vice President in Qatar is reducing India’s diplomatic options. India should lodge protest when he comes back, Prafulla Patel should resign as FIFA member and Indian public should boycott the brands endorsing FIFA, if FIFA invites a known terror sympathizer, we must maintain the stand as “Zero Tolerance for Terror”. After all, Nation First!!
