It is now 11 years, since we started as a small group of people discussing national security issues and national interests at large. From that humble beginning till now it is a crucial journey as a think tank known to strategic circles beyond our national borders for its diverse capabilities.
In last 11 years FINS deliberated broad issues through various interactions, seminars, conventions and close door talks such as National Security convention, India-US Nuclear Deal (NCR & Mumbai), Development and Security of Bharatiya Island & Coast Line (Goa), Maritime & Costal Security (Ratnagiri & Mumbai), National Seminar on Defense Manufacturing (Hydrabad) etc.
Strategic Network for India’s Security
While mooting various National Security dimensions, FINS took up critical policy initiatives in Nuclear Agreement, Maritime Security, Self Reliance in Defense Manufacturing. This was made possible due to in-depth understanding of various aspects of National Security. I am thankful to scholars for their support and expertise in this journey. The professional diversity of thinkers and scholars has strengthened FINS and we continue to build upon that strength. Furthermore, our geographical diversity is a great value addition for finding solutions on problems raveled into geopolitics.
FINS initiatives influenced policy makers, political leaders to rethink with unbiased perspective on grave national security concerns, leading to strategic shift in dealing with those issues.
FINS is undertaking following initiatives to nurture young thinkers and leaders

Above establishments shall serve to further the cause of National Security in long term.
With your best wishes and support FINS shall continue pursuing its core principle of deliberating, analyzing national security concerns to find ad rem solutions, advocate initiatives which shall bolster national security.
I take this moment in time as an opportunity to invite thinkers, leaders from defense, economy, industry, civil society, science and academia to join us in this endeavor.
Let’s bring out our best efforts together to build a strong, secure and prosperous nation.
